Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress who is famous for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. She began acting as a stage actor in the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared in numerous Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre scene with Li'l Abner's in the year 1957. Her first music album, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise started beginning her Hollywood career in 1958 where she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's little Acre, a film that was dramatic. It was a huge hit and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. In that time, she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. The next role she starred in was with the year 1964, when she was signed by CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more dark roles, as opposed to her perception of being an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Since her debut, she's become a well-known director for famous television shows like Supernatural and The 100. The family that she was raised with moved away from Essex to Toronto which is where she spent her the majority of her childhood and teens. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and was there ever for the last ten years.
